I had read Leaving Paradise the year before but had not had time for the sequel Return to paradise.I finally picked it up on friday and read it all in one day.Thats how Amazing it was.
From the first page it snatched me and I just couldn't stop reading.I had to know what happened in the next chapter.Simone started it from Calebs point of view and he was once again in trouble. The story really moved along and never made me want to sleep.
The romance between Caleb & Maggie was so real and believable that I had no doubt they loved each other. They had to go through a lot of challenges to be together and each one showed more of the characters true self.In this second book, Maggie, has completely gotten stronger. She doesn't back off and I love that shes a little tougher. Caleb has come back into the picture too and is soo tortured that at times you want to just shout "shop & listen to your heart, idiot!". every mistake he makes, makes me love him more. Even his jealousy over the new character Matt and his friendship with Maggie.
There reunion was real and not one of those faked coincidences I so often see in other YA stories. The program and the people in the story make you fall in love with the rest of the new characters, like Erin who's pregnant with her boyfriend in jail. The ending was so different it was perfect. Though I expected a proposal for marriage but it was a great ending.
This is a must read for any teen that loves a tortured, imperfect, intense, and real Love story.
