Llona Reese is used to living on the run. After the Vykens killed her parents, she knew they would eventually come for her too. But she never felt ready to face them---until now. Defying the Auran Council and everything she's been taught, Llona must learn to use her power over light as a weapon if she wants to survive.
This book keeps you guessing with every page. Lloan is a character you instantly root for. The author does an excellent job in making her have a few human faults, although Lloan is most definitely not human. I loved that she had a not so human friend too. Maybe in the next book we’ll follow May’s path a little bit. I would love to for the council to be over ruled. Mutiny I say! Jake is the immature older brother every girl wants. He’s not annoying, he’s protective and he’s trusting. I’m glad the author threw him a bone. He deserved to be happy. Christian! He’s so naïve but so cute. He’ll go to the ends of the earth for Lloan but won’t get “involved” with her. I’d snap him up if he weren’t crazy for Lloan…and real. You’ll have to read to find out if he romantically decides to defy the rules and be with Lloan or if he agonizingly decides to just let her go. Honestly while reading the book you don’t know which way he’ll go because of how good he is at detaching himself. =P I think there’s something fishy about Mr. steel. Honestly when he was first introduced in the story I thought he was Lloan’s savior or something along those lines. I loved how the plot kept you guessing. Even if Lisseth hadn’t given me a very tight deadline I wouldn’t have been able to sleep until I finished the book. I give 5/5 GOLDEN FEATHERS!! LOVED IT & CAN'T WAIT for the NEXT ONE!
My Thought's (Karina):
About the Author:
My YA urban fantasy novel FRACTURED LIGHT was just released. The sequel is tentatively planned for release in February 2013. I've been drunk on writing ever since I traveled to Ireland and became blessed (or cursed) by a Leprechaun with a french accent and a bad attitude. Of course I did just steal his gold, but that's another story. I currently live in Maine and find the place terribly and hauntingly romantic. Love the forests and graveyards.
