Summary: [Goodreads / Amazon]
When Candra Ember wakes up in hospital after a dangerous encounter with a red-haired woman, she is shocked to discover that seeing a winged boy wasn’t her imagination.
Candra is exposed to a world of rivalry and sacrifice she never knew existed, and the aftermath of a war to save humanity thousands of years ago. Soon she finds herself relentlessly stalked by Sebastian, a beautiful and arrogant Watcher Angel and romantically pursued by his darkly seductive rival, Draven.
Ultimately, dubious about her own goodness, Candra’s very existence compromises a tentative peace in the city of Acheron.
My thoughts (Lisseth):
"This book was AWESOME! It was filled with HOT Angels, a sweet romance and a world that could easily exist under our noses. With an ending that is shocking and unexpected!"
Karina had originally taken this book for a spin but told me she was dropping it but I gave it a second chance & it turned out that i LOVED it!The synopsis really did lay out the skeleton of the book and i was Glad I REALLY ENJOYED this book. The Cover is AWESOME and who can pass up some HOT angels ;D
The Story/World-building.
Okay Angels have been pretty much done in YA a lot, especially fallen ones, but I found it interesting how the author made a completely different explanation for why they fell and how their are good fallen and bad fallen. Of course the good fallen left haven by choice and the bad fallen didn't. It is sorta complicated and at the same time simple. Their are some interesting plot twists that really got me thinking and wanting to read more. Also it is packed with fights, emotional moments, and suspenseful and shocking scenes.
The Characters.
This book was filled with a HUGE array of likable, seductive and maddening characters. I liked Candra a lot she was determined, a funny and snarky girl that I felt interested by what she would do next in the book. Sebastian was HOT, infuriating, and I LOVED That the author put hie POV in their too, as well as other characters such as...the also hot, dark, and very seductive Draven who I liked but knew was not really in Candra's best interest. Their are so many you can get attached to like Lofi, Ivy, and Brie. Who are all either protective, funny, or very charismatic.
The Romance.
God the romance!! I LOVED it even though it was a love triangle, it worked! Their were so many HOT scenes between Candra & Sebastian and her with Draven. They were both interesting guys one was cold & tried DESPERATELY to separate himself from Candra but FAILED. The other was ALWAYS trying to seduce her and was pretty blunt & intense on his intentions toward her. In the end it was still kinda shaky but she does LOVE ONE of them with her whole heart and I LIKED that. Their are also some massive fights between the two guys, which i enjoyed since it showed their true feelings.
The Ending.
So MANY THINGS HAPPENED! The ending is both shocking and unexpected. Someone does die, their is a HUGE plot twist I did NOT see coming. Plus their was a part where i was so sure Candra's love for Sebastian would die but in the end it prevailed and it ended sweetly for them. Their is also a foreboding feeling it leaves you with that tells you their IS SOMETHING HUGE coming and they have to prepare.
Overall I REALLY liked it and HIGHLY recommend you read it if you like: well executed love triangles, HOT angels, a complex plot filled with complex characters. I LOVED THIS BOOK! Can NOT WAIT for the next one. I want to see what is coming next. So 4.75/5 golden feathers.

Video I chose for book:
I think this song captures the book perfectly and especially a brooding and conflicted Sebastian, who doesn't know what he is feeling for Candra and having to distance himself and not being able to. SO ENJOY!

This book sounds intriguing. The cover is awesome, too. I'll add it to my TBR list on Goodreads.

Thanks for the giveaway opportunities, the honest reviews and the music videos (I love those, BTW).
