Waiting on Wednesday (6): NO Men, Boy's TAKEN!

So lets start with my Waiting on Wednesday. I haven't done a meme on wednesday "Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted @ Bending the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
Taken (Taken #1) by Erin Bowman
There are no men in Claysoot. There are boys—but every one of them vanishes at midnight on his eighteenth birthday. The ground shakes, the wind howls, a blinding light descends...and he’s gone.
They call it the Heist.
Gray Weathersby’s eighteenth birthday is mere months away, and he’s prepared to meet his fate–until he finds a strange note from his mother and starts to question everything he’s been raised to accept: the Council leaders and their obvious secrets. The Heist itself. And what lies beyond the Wall that surrounds Claysoot–a structure that no one can cross and survive.
Climbing the Wall is suicide, but what comes after the Heist could be worse. Should he sit back and wait to be taken–or risk everything on the hope of the other side?

OMG!This book sounds SO GOOD! I have talked with Erin on twitter and she is one of the most friendly and nice people you can meet. her book sounds like my kind of book. It seems full of secrets, action, and hard choices.
NO men!! I was like, "WOAH...that world would be creepy to live in". I mean then how are boys STILL being born if their are no more men left? @__@ But i guess that's why we have to read the book, right? ;D
BUT it comes out SPRING OF NEXT YEAR!!! AH!!! They want to KILL ME! X__X and i have pitched this book to Nikki for a Blog tour with the Book Paparazzi...but so far she hasn't budged yet. >__< SO FRUSTRATED
I really wish SOMEONE would spare my life and gift me a copy! But life doesn't work like that. ADD to your TBR pile: [Goodreads]

  1. Nice pick, haven't heard of it before I like the question of whether he should take his chances rather than accept the status quo, and I feel like balancing out my YA reads with a few more from a male perspective so this sounds like a good one for me to look out for.
