PUB DATE:September 21st 2012

Pages: 204

Summary: [Goodreads/Amazon]
The world is about to be cloaked in darkness. Only one can stop the night.
Kellen St. James has spent his entire life being overlooked as an unwanted, ordinary, slightly geeky kid. That is until a beautiful girl, one who has haunted his dreams for the past eleven years of his life, shows up spinning tales of a prophecy. Not just any old prophecy either, but one in which Kellen plays a key role.
Suddenly, Kellen finds himself on the run through a Celtic underworld of faeries and demons, angels and gods, not to mention a really ticked off pack of hellhounds, all in order to save the world from darkness. But will they make it in time?
My Thought's (Lisseth):
OMG! Can i just say that i LOVED this book! I am in love with any book that has a) A guy POV b) Celtic lore/mythology. AND boy, This had BOTH & it was done PERFECTLY! PLUS that cover is SUPER GORGEOUS ;)
This book had the most beautiful & heart wrenching story i have ever read. Kellen is like SUPER SMART, he graduated from Yale @ 17 (like WOAH) & then we read into his family & u really feel for the guy. His dad is really uncaring & PURE EVIL! and along the road he loses his gran & learns the truth about his mother (where I was as MAD AS HIM & CRYING with him too!)
Then he moves to Ireland, into his grans house & thats when we meet Calienta. Oh how I LOVED these two! Kellen has some tough choices to make & learns truths that scare him. Which i liked because you NEVER knew they were coming & it makes you experience intense emotions.
He is introduced into a whole other world. Where gods & goddesses DO EXIST. There is an underworld & there is an evil that can destroy the earth *chills* I LOVED how the author introduced the whole prophecy & we got to see the whole story as to how Kellen would be involved. There are tons of risks & dangers too, and saving the world is not easy. PLUS some AWESOME twists! ^_^
I ABSOLUTELY loved relationship between Kellen & Calienta; they made me laugh & at times cry & then they managed to melt my heart at the same time. They seemed so right for each other & I LOVED seing him feel as though he belonged & how he fell in love, they got to know each other through the book & it gave the story depth.
Overall, I LOVED, LOVED this book. It is a FANTASTIC debut. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you read it, because i can not STOP thinking about it! I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL the NEXT book comes OUT! ^_^ It just captures you & makes you never want to leave. SO 4.5/5 GOLDEN FEATHERS!!!!
