What's coming up! (1)

Today I am off. So I will just be rambling here. I have a huge business presentation today, so I was getting ready for it yesterday. I want it to be good. So nothing too important to share just some happenings for this coming weekend. A kind of heads up, sorta thing.
Giveaway!
I was so happy with the responses to the giveaway so far. Thank you to my old & new followers, you guys ROCK! So happy that I will be extending the giveaway prizes. Check back on Friday??...hmm.. I don't really know when I'll update it, but I will be putting up some new choices to each list! So many new, cool titles will be added. So check back here soon.
Friday! #1 Cover Reveal
This Friday I will be doing a cover reveal for Victoria Scott's YA book, THE COLLECTOR (A Dante Walker Novel). I had the honor of discovering her blog & saw the description of it over HERE. She was doing a giveaway for Julie Kagawa's "The Immortal Rules". I didn't win but I stumbled upon her new & soon to come book. So tomorrow I will be revealing the cover to said book. I have seen it and let me tell you, THAT COVER IS HOT!!! I had to fan myself, so keep a lookout tomorrow for the reveal.
End this bit of news with this exclusive quote from Dante Himself!
Friday! #2 Blog Tour!
So I was allowed viewing of Angel Eyes by Shannon Dittemore on Netgalley. Soon after I got an email to be a tour host for it. So of course I said YES! So I am thrilled to tell you what I thought of the book on Friday with a review.
Book Haul!
This week I had some AMAZING books come in the mail. So will be posting my book Haul/ Stacking the Shelves on the blog either Saturday or Sunday, when I have time. Believe me you will not want to miss all my goodies. I might just be giving something away too!
In other News...
I changed my Blog Header! I made it to what i thought would look nice. The old one looked pretty washed out & wasn't really what i wanted. But NOW...I love it! Especially since I got me as a cat & Karina as her chicken Peo, whom we use as our rating system here for reviews.
What it used to look like before:
Then changed to this:
It went through two changes but now we have one that I know will be sticking around for a while!
Question?
What do you guys think of the new header? And are you excited for the awesome things to come in the next few days? Should I post more of these types of posts?
Leave me a comment. I love comments! Thanks for stopping by!

Review: Magic of the moonlight by Ellen Schreiber

Published: December 27th 2011
By: HarperCollins Children's Books
Source: Library
Summary (Goodreads):
Beware of a bite under a full moon… it will complicate your love life.
Celeste has more to worry about than a secret romance with a hot guy from the wrong side of town. That guy, Brandon, is a werewolf. With gossip and hostility swirling at school, it’s time to find a cure for his nocturnal condition, and perhaps the one person who can help is his scientist father. But what if a “cure” makes things worse and Brandon becomes a werewolf full time? And with rumors circulating that there are werewolves in Legend’s Run, is it possible that there is another among their classmates?
To keep Brandon’s secret safe, Celeste must hide her relationship with him from her best friends, but with the Moonlight Ball approaching, she must make a choice. Her dream is to go with her one true love—Brandon. But once the sun goes down, the clouds separate, and the full moon appears, could she really walk into the dance on the arm of a werewolf?
In this installment of the sumptuously romantic Full Moon series, Celeste faces her fears and her friends and finds out whether she’s strong enough to stand up for herself and her one true love.
My Review:
When I read the first book last summer I loved it a lot. I was actually excited about the second one, but I took my time on getting it from the library. I was hoping to love this one too. When I finished this one, I was & am still really not sure what to rate this book as. I was going from a 3.5 to a 4. It was a quick read, short to no conflicts.
What I liked was that the book started right were the first one left off. Which I like in a book because it makes it less confusing & easier to re-enter their world/story. I also loved some of the twists, like Nash & Brandon both being creatures of the night. There was a prom & their was drama.
It also had new & old characters like Dr. Meadows, the psychic, who forshadows most of the book in one of her readings at the beggining of the book, which kind off takes away some of the surprises. We also fianlly got to meet Brandons father, Dr. Maddox. He seemed very fatherly & caring, I liked him a lot. Nash & his friends were there too. So was Ivy & Abby, whom the teenage drama circles around. It was okay.
I still love Celeste's character. She was defiant & protective of Brandon even though her own friends were teasing him. She wasn't one to back down, & was the first to suggest she & Brandon "officially" a couple. But then she had these "lost puppy dog" moments were she would be all giggly & I was like "don't do that. AH!" Brandon was still gentle & caring & very much HOT! I would love to have my own Brandon Maddox. He was very down to earth & seemed real.
Also on a funny note, every time Brandon or Nash changed into werewolves they would get got. But what I found funny was that they would say something like, "I'm burning" or "I'm hot!" and then they would just rip off their shirts like Jacob in twilight.
The ending. Oh sweet lord, the ending. I would have thought it would end on a dramatic note, something suspenseful. Which it did, kinda. The solution to their problem, Nash, was logically correct but emotionally twisted. It pretty much ends with her kissing Brandon under the full moon, while Nash is out there as a creature of the moon.
Overall it was pretty good. I would recommend it as a summer read & it gets 4/5 chicken feathers!

This was a great book, but was missing something that made the chicken run around in circles.

BLURB:
Lil isn't just an average teenager. She's one of the Nephilim--the descendants of humans and angels--which gives her some serious psi skills and a mission for redemption. Just when Lil thinks she's found a balance between her normal life with human friends and her training to become a Guardian, she's warned that someone close to her will betray her.
When the boy she loves starts acting strangely and one of her human friends acquires a supernatural ability, Lil begins to realize that someone is manipulating the people she loves... and won't stop until she's been lured to the dark side.
Betrayed is a Young Adult book and the sequel to AWAKENED.
PRAISE FOR THE BOOK:
Just like Awakened, Betrayed has risen above all the other books in this genre. She has created such an amazing world for her Guardians & demons where good and evil are not as simple as it seems they should be. ~J. Whitus (Book Junkies) Walking On Bookshelves
I just love a spunky heroine so I was excited to keep reading about Lil, the demon hunter I got to know in Awakened (book one of The Guardian Legacy series). Walters takes the story and world she built so well in Awakened and adds in an intense plot with lots of twists to make for a strong sequel.~ Kelli (I'd So Rather Be Reading)
I haven't started this book series yet but from the above praise, it sounds like a great book. So I might have to buy myself a copy too. Besides it has ANGELS! I love any book with angels, if it's done good, like this one.
Book Trailer:
About the author:
I grew up reading Nancy Drew and Hardy boys mysteries and fell in love with books. I enjoy good love stories, tingly mysteries and epic adventures. When I finished my college and decided to be a stay-at-home mother, I devoured books like they were going out of production, until reading just wasn't enough. So I started to write.
I've written picture books (unpublished), contemporary and romantic suspense (under the pen name E. B. Walters), and finally YA fantasy (as Ednah Walters). AWAKENED (2010) is the prequel to the YA series about the Nephilim, The Guardian Legacy series. BETRAYED(book # 1) is now available wherever books are sold, HUNTED (book # 2) will be released in February 2013 andFORGOTTEN (later in 2013).
My adult contemporary with or without suspense is about a west coast Irish-American family series. I've published four Fitzgerald books: SLOW BURN (April 5th 2011), MINE UNTIL DAWN (June 29th 2011), KISS ME CRAZY (Sept 25th 2011) and DANGEROUS LOVE (Jan 29th 2012).
When I'm not writing, I do things with my family, five children and my darling husband of 18 years. I live in a picturesque valley in northern Utah, the setting for my YA series.

Plus I got a book shelf today for my books! So happy their not lying around the house in danger of my baby brother damaging them.(Pick Below =])
I also don't want to remake the meme pic I made (too much time). So I will still be using the Book Haul one. So let's start! Sorry for the quality of the pics as always.
