My Thought's (Lisseth):
This cover is SO AWESOME and the synopsis definitely interested me to read this book. Going into this I was a bit blind because...I failed to see that this was the SEQUEL book to Lunangelique. So...*head slap* yeah =/
Even though there was A LOT of backstory this book really explains the happenings of the previous book not too thoroughly but just enough that you can get an understanding. Which for me was good, since i didn't read book #1. Though that prologue was a tad confusing.*_*
What I LOVED about this book was Alexis, "Lexi" as she's more often called. She at first was UBER depressed and sad but you know a broken heart does that. THEN, PATRYCK. I know I usually don't like the girl going & falling in love with another guy in a book...but she needed it & it didn't bother as much. And i think he really did like her and they DID have a LOT more in common than what she had with Cole. PLUS they were friends before they hooked up. ^_^
Oh Yeah there angels and gods in this book. SO Lo, Helios, and Selene are there. I liked lo, she was crazy but through Cole's POV she seemed different, i don't know more sane & caring. I also SUPER LOVED that Cole had his OWN POV in there at times. I mean he made a hard decision & was labeled a traitor. I felt bad because he MADE Lexi so tortured and he felt he NEEDED to be punished. =/
BUT then a lot of things happen that i won't tell you because it would ruin the book. But ^_^ I really enjoyed it. There were frustrating parts & sweet parts and A LOT of kissing. The writing was well done and the characters were interesting and the story was unique.
Overall, I REALLY ENJOYED this book. And read this book all in ONE sitting. It is quite addictive if you love angel/gods books. Readers of the first book, i feel they will LOVE the book. But since I didn't read the first book I have to take half a feather from my rating. =/
The AWESOME & SHORT Interview:
1) If you had to describe yourself in just one word, what would it be and why?
Stubborn. Why? Because like the definition says I show persevering determination not to change my attitude, nor do I back down out of a challenge.
2)Can you tell me what inspired it you to write SLEEPING GODS?
I just started writing one day and couldn't stop. I loved the name "Lunangelique' (title of first book) written down in my journal from when I was about fifteen-years-old. When I started writing I thought the name would make a great story about the main character. I can't really say much more than that without giving the story away.
3)Okay, when you saw the cover to your book, what was your initial reaction?
I love my husband's artistic talent! I always wanted something different that no one else could replicate. He put so much detail into the cover and I thought it was beautiful.

4)If you were stranded on a deserted island what 3 things would you want to bring with you?
I probably should say my two kids and husband, but I'd hate for them to be stuck there. So, a knife, water and a lighter.
5) Is there a song you could list as the theme song for your book or any of your characters?
hmmm... I would say Little Black Submarine by the Black Keys is the closest I could find to a theme song.
6) What is one of your most favorite Quotes?
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us" ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
